ANSWERS
Do I have to have an appointment?
No, we do accept walk-in clients. However, we are not always able to accommodate walk-in guests immediately. To be sure you can see someone right away, please call and make an appointment.
What are my pregnancy choices?
You have the option of terminating your pregnancy (abortion) or carrying your pregnancy to term and either parenting or making an adoption plan. None of these choices are easy, at 1st Choice our advocates and nurses will help you with your choice.
Are your services confidential?
Yes. Your visit will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
How accurate are your tests?
Our nurses use laboratory quality urine tests to detect the pregnancy hormone. Our tests are 99% accurate.
How soon will I get my test results?
You will receive your results during your visit.
Can you verify my pregnancy?
Our nurses are able to provide you with a pregnancy verification form.
I am underage. Will you tell my parents I came to your center?
No. While in many cases it is wise to involve your parents in your pregnancy decision, we would not breach your confidentiality to tell your parents that you have been here. We do not disclose the identities of our clients, except in compliance with a court order or state or federal law. If you wish to tell your parents about your pregnancy, our advocates can help you develop a strategy for that important conversation.
Is there an age limit?
No, we see women of all ages.
Can I get an ultrasound?
On site limited ultrasound performed by a nurse sonographer is available where medically indicated. A (limited) ultrasound can confirm the viabilty of your pregnancy and determine how far along you are.
I already know how far along I am, what can 1st Choice do for me?
If you already know how far along you are and that your pregnancy is viable you can still meet with an advocate and nurse to discuss your concerns and options.

Some women struggle with difficult emotions or behaviors following a pregnancy termination decision. Sometimes these feelings do not surface until months or years after their abortion.
